Mason County Fire District 2 recently completed its regularly scheduled Washington State audit for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008. The audit included a review of the financial and accountability operations of the District. The State Audit concluded that the District’s internal accountability controls were adequate in safe guarding the public’s assets.
In addition to the audit reports, the District received a letter from Washington State Auditor Brian Sonntag. The letter recognized and complimented Mason County Fire District 2 for its sound operating practices and financial reporting that have led to an audit history clear of any findings.
