Mason County Fire District 2 firefighters and paramedics under the command of Captain Scott Cooper responded at 4am Monday May 4th, to a car accident at the 9000 block of North Shore.  When firefighters arrived they found a late model Chevy Blazer with one male occupant severely injured, Crews from Belfair  and Collins Lake Station worked to free the approximately 25 year old man using the Jaws of Life.  Both doors had to be removed to allow medics room to initially treat the sole occupant and prepare him for transport.  The vehicle was badly mangled in the wreck.  The patient was transported to Bremerton National airport with multiple injuries to meet with an Airlift Northwest Helicopter for transport to Harborview medical center for treatment.  His condition is unknown at this time.
